Kollywood has been blessed with many music prodigies but none bigger than the evergreen Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja, who began his musical journey with Annakkili in 1976! This monarch of music has scaled towering peaks and set records that not many can even dream of breaking. Ilaiyaraaja, who is currently 75, has composed over 7000 songs, worked in more than 1000 movies and performed in over 20000 concerts!
The Tamil Film Producers Council has planned to commemorate this legend with a grand celebratory event – Ilaiyaraaja 75! Many top heroes from k-town, including Vishal, Vijay Sethupathy, Karthi, Arya, Jayam Ravi, Jiiva, Vishnu Vishal, Atharvaa Murali, Santhanam, Nanda as well as many top heroines are coming forward to be a part of this event. Now, it has been confirmed that two legends of Tamil cinema – Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth are also coming together to celebrate another Ilaiyaraaja! Ilaiyaraaja 75 is set to happen on February 2nd & 3rd, at the YMCA Stadium in Chennai.
