“Dear Zindagi” Fame Rohit Saraf makes his Kollywod debut pairing up with Kayal Anandhi.!
Bollywood actor Rohit Saraf, who has acted in films like Dear Zindagi and Hichki, is making his Kollywood debut in Enge Andha Vaan. The film has Kayal Anandhi and Rohit in the lead roles. Directed by debutant Rajasekar Duraisamy, the film is said to be a breezy love story.
Says Director Rajasekar, “It traces the journey of a small-town girl, who comes to the city and joins a prestigious educational institution. It is her journey of finding love, and how, eventually, she finds it. The entire film is narrated from the girl’s perspective. Anandhi was apt for the role, and I wanted somebody from an urban background opposite her to bring in the contrast. We have seen Rohit’s works and he has some interesting projects in the pipeline, in Bollywood. He really liked the script and agreed to be a part of the film. Though he plays a Chennai city-boy, he has very few Tamil dialogues in the film. It is not a regular love story… we have approached this in a novel way.”
The shoot is over and the crew is busy with the post-production work. “We shot in Kumbakonam, Gobichettipalayam, Pondicherry, Chennai, Hyderabad and some portions in Delhi,” says the director, who has earlier worked with Lingusamy. Prathap Pothen, Azhagam Perumal and Imman Annachi will be seen in pivotal roles in this film.The Film’s Music and Background is scored by Dheena Dhayalan who has earlier worked with short films and Advertisements making his debut with this movie. Going with the techs for this movie Jegadeesan Loghaiyan takes up cinematography and art department by Thiyagarajan, the Cuts are handled by R Govindaraj, while Madhan Karky and Karthik Netha of 96 fame holds lyrical department.#EngeAndhaVaan is being produced by A.
