Deepika Padukone Takes Up The role of Acid Attack Survivor Laxmi in “Chhapaak”

Deepika Padukone released the first look of her next flick titled “Chhapaak” where she plays the role of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, directed by ‘Raazi’ fame Meghna Gulzar. It is based on the real story of Laxmi Agarwal, who was attacked by a man and his friends for not marrying him, at the age of 15. She later turned into an activist and she has been doing campaigns about the issue.Deepika’s look was so real and intensifying in the first look poster. The first look has blown away minds of her fans all over the world and Bollywood celebrities alike as she has manages to look unrecognizable in the lead role.The movie is combined together and  produced by Fox Star Studios, Meghna Gulzar’s Mriga Films and Deepika’s Own Production “Ka Entertainment”.This film also marks her first production which starts filming today, 25 March 2019 and the movie is slated for release on January 10,2020.
