How Mehreen Pirzada became Honey for her film..?
One of the biggest entertainers of this year is the Telugu film F2 – Fun and Frustration, which was directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film, which stars Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah and Mehreen Pirzada , is a quirky rom-com and turned out to be a commercial success at the box office. One of the highlights of the film was Mehreen’s dialogue – Honey is the best – which almost became her character’s signature line in the movie. And the actress, who’s presently busy with Dhanush’s Pattas, admits that she’s overwhelmed by kind of she love she got for her performance in the film.
So, how did she arrive at the trademark style? “Actually, director sir and I were working in another film before this – Ravi Teja-starrer Raja The Great – and there was this young girl, a character artiste. She used to do something similar. She was called Honey and we picked up that name from there and Anil sir and I got together to come up with this style. All credit goes to him… if it wasn’t for the support he gave me, and my co-stars Venky sir, Varun and Tamannaah and everyone else, I wouldn’t have been able to pull it off,” she says.
Meanwhile, Mehreen’s been shooting for Pattas, directed by Durai Senthilkumar. “The ambience on the set is very positive. Everyone is supportive and they give me feedback. And Dhanush is so sure and knows what he is doing. He just has a glimpse at the scene paper and it’s fixed in his mind. It’s so nice and inspiring to see a superstar like him work. Since this is a new language for me, I take extra care to get everything right,” she says.
