Sivakarthikeyan-Nelson’s Doctor will go on floors from Dec 6
A picture of Sivakartikeyan sharing a laugh with Nelson Dilipkumar has been doing the rounds on social media for a while now, giving rise to speculations that the two might be working on a film together. And now, it’s official — the two are teaming up for a film, titled Doctor, and will start shooting for it this week.
Nelson, whose last directorial was Kolamavu Kokila, says, “It is an action comedy; one half of the film will take place in Chennai and the other half will be set in Goa. The reason we titled it Doctor is because the film has elements that are related to doctors. Siva will sport a new look and has knocked off some kilos, too.”
This film will mark the Kollywood debut of Tollywood actress Priyanka Mohan (of Gang Leader fame). “Yogi Babu and Vinay have been roped in for important roles, and Anirudh Ravichander will compose music for this film,” he adds.
The team will begin shooting in Chennai from December 6. “Siva and I go back a long way; we’ve known each other for almost 14 years now. We’ve always wanted to work together. This script began as a small idea and I soon developed it. He liked the story and things fell in place. I am super happy to work with my friends Siva and Anirudh again,” Nelson signs off.
