Surprise update from Sun Pictures: Keerthy Suresh is pairing up with Superstar Rajinikanth in #Thalaivar168!
We had earlier reported that actress Keerthy Suresh is the front runner to be paired opposite superstar Rajinikanth in his upcoming film tentatively called ‘Thalaivar168‘ with director Siva. The National Award winning actress among the speculated actors to play the leading lady in the film. While reports of Jyotika, Manju Warrier, Meena or Keerthy Suresh to be the heroine were doing the rounds, the makers have finally made it official and announced that Keerthy Suresh has bagged the role.
The pretty actress who made her Tamil debut with Sivakarthikeyan starrer ‘Rajini Murugan‘ in 2016 had moved up the ladder in no time. She has acted with the top stars of the Tamil film industry which include Dhanush, Vijay, Suriya and Vikram in her short career in Kollywood. Now, the ‘Mahanati‘ will be pairing up with superstar Rajinikanth for the first time in her career.
Produced by Sun Pictures, the film which will have music by D Imman and is likely to be a Diwali release in 2020. The upcoming film, tentatively called Thalaivar 168, is likely to go on floors on December 12, which happens to be Rajinikanth’s birthday.
Meanwhile, Keerthy Suresh recently completed shooting for her upcoming film ‘Penguin‘ produced by Karthik Subbaraj’s Stone Bench Films. She is also making her Bollywood debut with ‘Maidaan‘ starring Ajay Devgn. Meanwhile the Mahanati Actress shared her excitement to announce the biggie news to her official twitter handle that read, ” Extremely happy to announce this magical milestone in my journey .
